Recording SFX

I got my first taste of recording audio sound effects today. For my motion piece, the main character rides a skateboard through different worlds so I needed a good SFX of skateboard sound on asphalt. Well, I rode down and pushed up the same hill about 3 times, recording as I went. Then I figured out how to actually record sound on the portable device. After that, I went up and down a couple more times recording some good sounds. Haven’t given them a listen yet, but I’m looking foward to it!

Hey- cool site. Dig the balloons. Balloons are good.

Only two small comments- 1) your name is really tiny! Be nice if you could work it into the banner somewhere, even subtly. 2) More pictures in your postings! Even if its just something you yank off the web to illustrate your point (like a skateboard pic), or a snapshot of your shoes with your cell phone camera… helps differentiate your postings at a glance (reading is hard ;-)

Great language in your postings, you can really see your personality though it (ha- I almost wrote “thu” there, you kids are rubbing off on me! ;-P

Oh, and link to your classmates blogs!

Thanks for the advice! I’ll definitely put some time into playing with the everythings.

Also, “through” has a “r” in it, even if it is “thru.” ^^

I look forward to next term!

I’m going to have to patent all my “special” spellings…

Indeed. Then you can charge yourself a nickel to use them. It’ll be brilliant!
