Personality Piece

Posted at March 3rd, 2007 in Work Journal | No Comments »

I worked on this composition this morning in an attempt to represent a personality. Primarily, one that is kinda shy but fun underneath. Hopefully I captured that sense, although I’m not sure it is successful. I do enjoy the progression of the piece though!

20 Minute – Space Percussion

It appears that I am on a bit of a music loop right now (no pun intended) and am choosing to spend more time making music than drawing.

In any case, this piece, Space Percussion, took about 10 minutes to put together. Not bad for 46 seconds of music. Hope you enjoy the piece!

It is amazing how one single idea can change a great number of things.

Below I have one of my two final videos for the Commercial Production class of last term. This was a project I struggled greatly with and changed my mind about greatly. Originally I had an entirely different idea which I scrapped. Then, I thought to work with pain emerging from a canvas, which struggled due to time and location restraints as well as my ultimately not liking my footage. Finally, I struck upon the final idea. It was one that I liked, one that reflected my interests and thoughts.

In creating this piece, I first started with the music. Once I had the music fully developed, I went through my footage, picking out brush strokes that matched the rhythm of the beat well. Then, I key framed the entire thing in After Effects.

20 Minutes – No Entry

Today’s 20 minute creation is one that I’ve been thinking about conceptually for a while. It is meant to be a poster for an anti-rape campaign and hopefully the idea can speak for itself. Maybe some day I’ll even get to use it for something!
