Hello folks! I’ve been hard at work developing my final project more and more. For today’s installment, I would like to present you with my early icon concepts.
One of the larger projects I was involved in last term was the creation of a DVD packaging for the documentary, “The Memphis Belle: A Story of A Flying Fortress,” created in 1944 by William Wyler for the Army Airforce. It told the story of the 25th and final mission of the crew of the Memphis Belle, a B-17 bomber heavily favored over Europe during World War II. We could make a packaging as simple as a single disk, dvd cover and dvd cover, but I wanted to do something different.
I made a “special edition” version.
One of the key segments of my project is in the vector art that will be used in the e-card generation system. When I first conceived of the project, I wanted to do everything for it myself; it would be mine completely. However, I also know that there are weaknesses in my abilities that would hamper the successful completion of the project goals. In this case, creating artwork is one of them.
Also behind the cut is my most updated version of the Generative Application.
In the process of developing the components for my final project, I spend a good bit of time developing these algebraic equations that could then be used by themselves or in patterns. The end result is an extremely powerful pair of arrays that I can do just about anything with. Check it out after the link
Today’s 3D class was rather fun in that we learned how to use music to influence objects in the 3D realm. Always a fan of music interacting with digital media, I enjoyed seeing what sort of oddities could be created.

I know all you folks have been dying to help me out with my VFS final project, so I thought I would present you all with a unique opportunity to do so! Thats right, you too can provide useful information and data via the glory that is the survey! I can tell you are all extremely thrilled.
Kidding aside, it would help me greatly if you readers (I know there are some of you!) out there would help me by filling out the survey below. The more responses I receive, the better my project will get, so please spend the little time it takes to fill out the survey and help me! Just think, your comments can influence the outcome!
The survey is located here
Thanks everyone!!!
Updated: Survey is now closed. Thanks everyone!
Yesterday in 3D class, we learned about some of the tools in the MOGRAPH module of Cinema 4D. After some play, I created this rather awesome look that I feel is rather reminiscent of Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis and if you are interested, I’m selling these fine leather jackets.
Well, we have reached term 5 of the design program for VFS. That means final projects time has begun!
